  • posted BEGINNERS GUIDE FOR SHOPPING AT CVS. The first step to couponing at CVS is to get a CVS card for free in any CVS store. The second step is to get your coupons from the Magic Coupon Machine MCM each week. (This is the big red price scanner in every store.) There will be CVS coupons that can be stacked with manufacturer coupons (can be found in Sunday papers, on products or online at . The next step is to register your card online. You will typically receive emails with discount coupons, such as 30% off or $5 off of $25. The % off coupons can only be used on regular priced items and cannot be used on sales but they can be used with ECB'S. These coupons can also be stacked with manufacturer coupons and CVS coupons. The last thing to know is what Extra Care Bucks ECB'S are. These are printed out after your transaction based on purchases. The shelves will be marked stating what ECB'S can be earned. The great thing about ECB'S is that if you use ECB'S to pay you can still get ECB'S for that transaction. That's a whole lot of stacking and can lead to huge discounts. When people refer to rolling ECB'S it simply means purchasing an item that gives you an ECB and then using that ECB on the next transaction.
